The Missouri Arts Council’s Big Yellow School Bus Grant helps remove one of the biggest barriers to arts-based learning experiences: transportation. This grant provides Missouri PK–12 schools with up to $500 in transportation assistance each year. The funding can cover visits to art museums, theater performances, concerts, dance productions, and other approved destinations.

The grant is non-competitive, meaning eligible schools that submit complete applications can receive full funding while funds remain available. Applying is simple. Schools must submit an application through the Missouri Arts online grant portal. The application includes:

• Estimated transportation costs
• Authorization from the appropriate school official

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted by the first Monday of the month, at least two months before the trip occurs.
